Just this week I subscribed to Vintage Guitar and guitar player. I’ve never read either but just recently got into electrics and these seem to get decent reviews. I subscribed to Acoustic guitar for years but quit when content went way down and price went way up.

Looking forward to getting mags again although it will be 1-2 months before I get my first issues.

I had subscribed to Acoustic Guitar magazine for a few years and then bought a copy once in a while when the subscription ran out. Great magazine but just found out they only issue 6 copies/year vs. monthly.

I like print and physical books better than copies via electronic device so a little sad to see its downward turn.

Oui & Omni (which I think was named Nova at one time?) were the same publishers.
They had all those sexy guitars, but I bought them for the stories.
Omni was a science magazine. I thought that Oui was a men's mag. Don't remember any guitars in Omni.

Guitarist and The Guitar Magazine are the only mags i buy ,but only when there is something in it that interests me and i want a read.
The last issue of Guitarist i bought was April 2020.
Haven't bought The Guitar Magazine in a while either,as it isn't available anywhere near me since the shop i use to buy them from closed down last year.

Are we beyond the heyday of guitar magazines?
I download most of mine. The physical copies I take to my office when I’m done. Patients sometimes ask our front desk person which doctor plays guitar.
You have a good waiting room!
Do you find patients ask you to wait until they finish the article?

Magazine selection also reflects the personality of the physician.
Nobody much has Popular Science in the wait room, let alone Astronomy & Scientific American.

My dentist had Bicycling & Motorbike magazines.
Celebrity Gossip, Bride & Fashion magazines just make me anxious.

I keep the magazines up to date, no three year old Good Housekeeping there! We have National Geographic, New Yorker, Consumer Reports, Smithsonian, Entertainment Weekly and a few local ones.
