What movie/s scared the heck out of you when you were little?

For me it was my big brother and sister taking little Rad, me, to the movies to see “House on Haunted Hill”. OMG, I had never seen a horror movie before, I hid behind the big loge seating in back of the theater….Are you old enough to remember those type of seats in the big theaters?

When I was a little kid I was made to watch Halloween 2 on Mother’s Day with my cousin Suzy and my sisters. I was probably 5 years old. Seeing the expressionless masked face of Michael Myers as he was doing away with nurses made quite the impression on me, drowning one in boiling water and killing another with a hypo to the head. I had many nightmares. I was scarred!
Even when I came of age and became obsessed with horror movies and sci-fi movies, I stayed away from Halloween 2 until I was in my 20’s.

I was born in '73 but my mom was over-protective so the "scare factor' was a bit less as I watched with a friend or 2.

Both Halloween I & II and Friday the 13th p. I and II did scare me.. "Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers" is in the mix but creeped me out more than scared me. "The Fog" I've always liked but was only scary when I first saw it with the thought of what the creatures in the fog must've looked like after being dead and out to sea for a while.

Poltergeist was in the mix also.

Jaws, wasn't a big fan of the ocean for awhile after that one.

OMG. I would ocean swim in the Pacific for my workout and that dang Jaws theme would creep in my brain and I just could not shake it…Kind made ocean swimming alone no fun.

That minor second interval, the smallest possible interval, sure had a powerful musical impact.

Oh, the original Night Of The Living Dead. Saw it when I was 12. I had to cross a field on the way home from my friends house at night. Jacked me up for a while. Black and white didn’t help. Made my mom and sister watch it a few years later. Jacked them up too.

Funnily enough it was the first Jurassic park, I was about 6 or 7 when it first came out but no idea when I saw it first, I have no idea why but for some reason that one just stuck with me, I wouldn't say it scared the heck out of me but definitely wasn't a fan.

Y’all got most of them Lady Elaine Fairchild or whatever from Mr. Rogers WTH?!!?. Also the Oompa Loompas made me feel very uneasy.
The first Halloween nearly scared me out of my mind.
The worst though was reading The Amityville Horror at home alone when I was about 11. Not cool.

I didn’t see this until I was adult, but it’s definitely the scariest horror movie ever made, as far as I’m concerned.
Should be required viewing in schools all over the world.
