Visit to Guitar Showcase San Jose CA with pictures

Was in the area so decided to pop in this store for the first time. Multiple small rooms packed with guitars and amps. Very cool place. Here are some highlights. Not many Gretschs sadly.


This was by far the coolest thing. Ric 90th anniversary 4005XC. Only 90 made per the owner. $5200.

The did have Bo Didley and MIJ Jet.

They did have this G5622T with 3 hilitrons in very nice red color. Could not get a pic of it (actually did, below) $800 seemed bit steep.


Several real worn out teles and one new with Filotrons.

Nice. Those 5622s are v1s and were new 800 or 900. If these are new that's a decent (and presumably negotiable) price. Definitely high for used though.

That Bo Diddley couldn't be real ,could it? It's huge!

Thon black and silver Tele is nice,to my eye it would've looked better with the other Thinline pickguard from the single coil version.

Yeah that bass is amazing!

I know little about Bo Diddley models but I presume it was real. Huge it was.

That is their new building.

I bought a lot of stuff from them in the 80’s as I set up a complete band room at the residential treatment center I worked at.

Here I am enjoying a Les Paul at Guitar Showcase a couple years ago.
