Selling a Limited Edition Epiphone Les Paul Standard with some serious upgrades... This was a Limited Edition for Sweetwater in a beautiful Lemon Burst finish. Seems like Sweetwater can't keep these in stock, and for good reason. It looks phenomenal in person (pics definitely are not doing it justice!) and the overall appointments on this guitar are an excellent value.

The guitar is lightly used and in excellent condition overall. Most importantly, it comes with significant upgrades that turn this into a serious tone machine!

Upgrades are almost $500 by themselves and include:
-- DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF Pickup Set
-- Faber bridge inserts
-- Gotoh Nashville Bridge and Aluminum Tailpiece
-- Grover Locking Tuners
-- ProRockGear soft-sided case

The DiMarzio pickups are very well regarded as PAFs go, and the bridge and tuner upgrades have improved the tone and sustain over stock. The ProRockGear case is a perfect fit and is one of the nicer soft-sided cases I've come across.

Set up with 10s and plays nicely. This was my first PAF-equipped guitar and has definitely turned me onto those as a necessity in my collection. Unfortunately I get along much better with slim 60s neck profiles than the 50s profile on this one, so I'm moving it along to put the gear toward another purchase.

Asking $660 shipped to the lower 48.

It is beautiful. There was a time not long ago I would have jumped on that guitar. Good luck with the sale.

Many thanks, Radd! It’s a great guitar, I’m just getting particular about neck profiles in my old age.

Even though my main guitar, a Jet, is mahogany and a similar body type, the guitars are very different in tone and style (in a good way). Well worth having both types in the stable.

Hoping someone here in Gretschville can give it a new home!

I will add that Lemon Burst is one of my favorite Gibson finishes. I was hot for a Gibson es335 in that finish a few years ago but they were out of my modest price range.

I’m extremely impressed with the finish on these. The Lemon Burst has enough flame to be interesting, but it’s not so over the top that it looks fake.

Still available, by the way…

Sweet looking. Best with the sale. The challenge with upgrades is that you never get your money back. It's almost better to put the stock stuff back in and sell the upgrades separately. Or put them in another guitar you are going to keep.

- Which Grover locking tuners are on this - the 533 locking "vintage" (Kluson) style, locking Rotos, or ??? For a tuner swap, might be helpful to include a shot of the back of the peghead.
- Did you keep the 50s-style wiring, or go with modern wiring?
- Do you still have the stock 1/2 Probuckers?

Great questions, sgarnett, and apologies I hadn’t expanded the listing with more detail.

Tuners - They are Roto-style and I’ve added a pic of the back of the headstock above.
Wiring - I’ll double check but I believe the wiring is still stock to the 50s setup.
Original pickups - No, just the DiMarzio upgrades that are in it.

Let me know if you have additional questions, and thanks for the interest!
