Ugh. The thing sounds terrible. It was a gretsch bass pick up in it. When I talked to the builder o told him about the flaws in the guitar and what he needed to do to make them better. He had no idea it was a bass pick up. Confirming what I thought, that he builds them but he’s not really a player. But overall the fest went great they lived us

As a Gretsch player, you should be used to swapping pickups by now.

I watch a lot of amp repair videos and many of those guys don't play or play very little. Leo was mainly an amp guy.

Looks fun Nick, here's my Box, it had a terrible, cheapo bottle cap piezo in it so I bought this killer Victory pickup for it, now it rock

Not my guitar I gave it back last night after the gig. If it was mine I could have set it up much better but it was a loaner

You gotta get you one, once you get them right they're really cool. I got a bunch of stuff to make some but haven't done anything since my move.

I actually talked to the guy builder about doing a custom one. But I think I could probably do a better job building it myself.

A friend builds cigar box ukuleles, and for fun, he made me a lap steel. My signature model ! Lol

It sounds good, but it doesn’t have the same sustain as my other steels. I have it tuned to my go-to A11 tuning

The guitar in the photos looks sharp, regardless of how it sounds. Looks better than some of my regular guitars. I thank you for creating gas for something i didnt remotely think i would have gas for.
