Wow, thats what I would call a fat tone. Is this straigt into the amp or is there an overdirve involved?
I’m using my Fulltone Tape Echo, which has a tube preamp, but I keep that at unity gain. It adds a little fatness, but really, the tone is the result of that Supro Vistatone bridge pickup coming thru that amp with the volume maxed.

If you were here in Southeast Iowa, I’d saddle up the kit and jump on the bill.
Oh man, that’d be awesome!!

I can’t understand why finding a drummer to play dumb rock n’ roll songs is so hard!!

It’s definitely a drummer’s market around here, and they seem to all wanna play classic rock covers or heavy metal.

My trick is:
find a guitar/bass/piano player that ALSO play drums.
You don't need Gene Krupa, you need a bass drum and a snare :)

I was bummed when my 7th grader quit bass a year ago. There goes the family band! He's been getting quite good at drums at school this year, just rocked the snare in marching band at the parade. There's hope!

I've got three boys and nothing would make me happier to one day record a single song where they all jam with me.
