I'm surprised by how much better it sounds than the little Yamaha JR-1. The JD does have a larger body though. It makes me wonder what a high-end acoustic sounds like but not enough to risk the GAS and MrsWookiee's wrath to find out.

Parts finally arrived yesterday but I'm starting to get cold feet... might be better to pay someone who knows what they're doing. At least when it comes to modifying the slot for the saddle.

I did RH to LH conversion several times, you guess it, @MrWookiee ... :)

It's not so difficult by itself, if you have the parts and the tools : you "work in the mirror", if I can say so. but if you are not very confident, have it done by a Luthier : it won't cost you a fortune to have a Lefty Nut and Saddle made suitably, and you will avoid possible mistakes ! 😉

That said, if it is a Christmas Gift... You may be overrun to be ready by the time left to date ! :confused:
