Didn't wait 24 hours to unbox it, but it didn't explode and kill me, so it probably was fine. Tested it a bit after work and before dragging it to an open mic in case my guitarist can be convinced to play it, either it's easy to play or my lessons are working, because I can actually do some stretches and chord changes and barre chords. Might actually be playing this instead of just bass at open mics pretty soon, blinding everyone with this finish.
