One of my neighbors told me it was national wives day yesterday while I was walking our dog at 7 in the morning and she was sleeping. It looks like I’m taking her out for cheeseburgers tonight.

Less than once a week I take a coupon and hit the BK drive through. Normally buy an assortment of fish and chicken sandwiches and a couple whopper juniors and refrigerate some for later.

Just so happens I went two days ago and I still have one cheeseburger in the fridge. Heating it up as I write this, Happy NCD everyone!

I’ll take mine with Kerrygold Irish cheddar on a fresh baked roll with onions sautéed until they’re clarified, not burned. More important than that is the beef. I like brisket. There’s nothing healthy about a cheeseburger so the fattier and tastier the beef the better.

Giant burgers should be wide, not tall.

I love bacon, but with scrambled eggs and hash browns, or on toast with lettuce and tomato.

Grilled up a couple of mushroom swiss burgers tonight. (with sautéed onions of course). Crumbled Bleu Cheese is also a favorite. Or cheddar, it just depends on the mood.

I had a Lotaburger today. This is from a regional chain called Blake’s, who make a great burger. If you are out in the Wild West and see a Blake’s it’s well worth the time and money.
