Ok, Tony, i need you to face your demons.
Cut them into long thin strips. Do the same shape with yer parsnips. Add some little fingerling potatoes, also quartered lengthwise.
Drizzle with olive oil, season with oregano and basil.
Bake in the oven for an hour basting with the hot oil every 20 minutes.
Add a steak.

It's the way the natural sugars are processed by the heat. I don't like them either but raw ones are great.

When I was a little kid, I was so excited to go out for halloween but my mother made me finish my dessert of bananas in milk before I could go out. I was so excited and had no appetite but forced myself to eat them I can't stand bananas.

Century Egg. The only thing ever coming close to losing my lunch. Never again.
It's a staple in things like rice porridge, and I LIKE 'em.

On the other hand, I was challenged to down a Balut in the P'Pines with a bunch of people standing around to see if the white boy would puke.
I can eat almost anything with a straight face, but that was not a favorite.
