Hi everyone, I'm looking to sell my vintage Harmony-branded Lectrolab-produced 306a. If you don't know the 306a, it was Harmony's take on a 2x6V6 Fender Deluxe circuit with trem. It sounds glorious, fantastic for Chicago blues, but with a booster it gets nasty and tweedy.

It's all original, had a cap job done by Ian of Specimen Electronics in Chicago (when I still lived in the US) about 10 years ago (he also put in a modern 3-prong chord) otherwise the amp is pretty much the same as the day it was made. It comes with a full component of NOS tubes (GEs mostly) which have plenty of life left, and still has the 60+ year old Jensen 12". It is sadly missing a chickenhead knob somewhere, but that's easy to replace.

The only reason I'm selling it is because I have a line on a vintage Vibro-champ that is easier for me to transport back to Europe. Plus the amp does me no good sitting in Pennsylvania, when I live in Prague. :D

The amp is located with my family north of Pittsburgh, PA, so you can pick it up there or in Cleveland (with my brother). Otherwise, I'll split the cost of shipping the amp via FedEX insured with the buyer.

Looking to get $500 + half of the shipping, if it's shipped. No trades, thanks.

Also, for someone looking for a lightweight amp, I should mention that the Lectrolab amps are EXCEPTIONALLY light weight. The thing weighs about as much as your average practice small amp, certainly less than a comparable Fender Princeton.

I have a thrashed one of these, excellent amp guys and absolutely KILLER for harp, that's what I use mine for. Somebody needs to snag this, C.W. Stoneking's favorite, pretty sure this is it.

Yeah, harp or guitar, pick your poison! If I had my druthers and/or flying wasn't so expensive these days, I'd bite the bullet and take it back in a flight case, but this year it looks like me and the wife are staying home for the holidays. I can't justify holding on to a great sounding amp that I only play like 2 weeks every 3 years, if I have US gigs when I come home, so I gotta move it for something easier to transport back to Europe.

Ah. When I read Prague, CZ, I though that the amp was in Europe...

A+!
If it was in Prague I wouldn't be selling it. I love this thing! :D I got it in a Chicago pawnshop in the early 2000s, it's been through almost all of my musical projects. I just came to the hard decision that it isn't doing me any good in the US and it's time to give it a better home. This baby deserves to be played!
