That's interesting. And no way to get ahold of them, if I can't even access them....
I'll see if I can get on with my phone, if I can, then it's my laptop OS not allowing it, I guess... If I can't, then it's got to be something with Comcast/Xfinity not allowing it...

I find it just as informative as these boards. Oops... am I allowed to say that here?
That said, the forum software is kind of clunky and I think whoever does own it/maintain it does so almost as an afterthought.
I forgot my password there and tried to do a reset via the "forgot password" but nope. Dead link. Didn't work. Never could get that account back. That was ages ago. My guess would be the boards are in need of a software update.

The site is up and running and hasn't been down. I've accessed it multiple times daily from desktop (firefox), android phone and Apple ipad (both chrome and firefox on each) with no problems. What's happening is that your default security controls on your browsers or (in the case of Avast) anti-virus software are kicking it back because it is still an http site instead of https. There is no malicious code, that's the default parked page that Avast uses if an http site is accessed. We've gone back and forth with Avast on this, it gets removed from the list, and then is added (likely by automated algorithm) back again a couple of months later. Also, if you use a VPN, some of them have the same site blocking functions as an anti-virus program. The plan is to migrate to a new server and convert to https SSL encryption this year.
With most virus programs or browsers, you can add an exception (or whitelist the site) for "http://gretschpages.com/*" or "http://gretschpages.com/forum/"

Ruger-- I didn't try to access it around the time you posted this, but I currently have it open in another window as I write this. The server may have very well been down this morning, I don't know. Also, If your Firefox just updated, they are constantly changing the default security settings with just about every update now. Check your browser to see if it is currently enabled in "https only" mode.

Well, as a retired graphic designer, any web site (or printed material) that uses white type on a black background, as GP does, immediately turns me off. That’s not just me. Research has shown that it is one of the most difficult presentations for most human eyes to read.

It can be changed from your profile to be black text on white background like this site. The Dark mode is simply the default option.

I actually prefer white text on a dark background. With the time spent on my computer or phone... my eyes appreciate the rest.
I have google on dark mode and it's my preference on all boards. When I use a white background site/forum I slide my brightness to zero. Assuming I'm indoors of course.
