(I posted this on another thread, “Gretsch Sightings on TV,” but worth repeating here)

JD McPherson on stage recently while touring as lead guitarist for Robert Plant and Alison Krause (he’s also the opening act). I know, not the best screen shot, but he was on screen for a 1/2 second with this White Penguin. Usually he plays his TK Smith custom (design based on Bo Diddley’s Jupiter Thunderbird custom Gretsch).

I’m not sure either. I have seen other pictures pf her with a 6120, so that’s my guess.

I think it is the 6119 1962 FT.
Tennessean with filtertrons.Its a current production guitar.Probably dark cherry stain but looks black in lo light conditions.

I was happy to see Bruno Mars w a Gretsch, but he was already at super star status for his killer skill set.

Where can i find a link toi him playing that thing? There are si few out there of it in general. I play one, but it would be cool to hear someone with a decent background play it.

I did not realize that the Animals used the same model guitar I bought and that Beatles guy played. They used a 6119-62 on House of the Rising Son
