Blacktop Filtertron Bridge with Super HiLo'Tron Neck

Looking to get rid of the Gretschbuckers in my Jet Club.
The DIY Guitar store around the corner has a Blacktop bridge and a Super Hilo neck in stock for very good prices.
They are not stocking the Super HiLo bridge anymore and waiting on more Blacktop necks.

Would the Blacktop bridge / Super HiLo neck be a good combination? Or should I wait to get a set of the Blacktops?

TV Jones is out of my price range for pickups.

I think it's a great combination. Even better would be a standard Gretsch HS Filtertron in the bridge position.

Being a fan of the DC SHT, I think it's a good idea...

Yes, finding a Bridge DC SHT is difficult... I have a pair of Neck ones, but no Bridge.

I put a Super HiLo'Tron in the neck of my G5222. Mates well with the Broad'Tron bridge pickup. I bet it will sound nice with the Blacktop Filter'Tron bridge pickup.

How does the SHT neck pickup do for boominess, muddiness? I have Blacktop Filters in both positions and have wondered if a SHT would sound better in the neck position.

Well, I really like it, but I don’t like a thin neck pickup, I like to have some umph. But it’s got plenty of clarity and chime.

I took pictures of DC SHT and BT FT some years ago :

As you can see, coil DCR are close, and in the usual Gretsch values for both, but not sure that there is a missing row of polepieces... They may have been arranged differently, from a different material, or simply not protruding ? I never opened a DC SHT to check.
