That said, I am very well tooled for electronics... For woodworking, it's a much different story : a router, a jigsaw, a sander, a battery-powered screwdriver/drill, a handful of files, two manual planes... That's all ! 😌

Aw, of course : add also a bunch of presses and clamps for the glued assemblies ! ;)

Back then, I built a Heathkit amp and put it in a box with a 6” speaker from Lafayette Electronics. Mine was pretty crude, made from 1x10 pine screwed and glued with 1x1 inside corners and a half open back. I sanded and stained it. The speaker grille was burlap from a coffee bag stapled to the baffle. The staples were hidden by pine molding from the lumber yard. It was a learning experience for sure but not much of an amp. My first real amp was an Ampeg Reverberocket. I’m 73 and retired now. I have a great amp but woodies are a little harder to come by.
