Anyone ever see Epiphone "New Yorker" Spectrum Repros?

I’ m restoring a 50’s Epiphone Zephyr Regent. I can’t find the original New Yorker mounting ring. A reproduction will be ok too. If you have one of those, please write me [email protected]. Thanks!

Welcome to Gretsch-Talk!

Before the Gibson take-over Epiphone used quite a few different pickup models.
Which model pickup are we talking about specifically, cause the Tone Spectrum didn’t use a ring as far as I know?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the tone spectrum pickup. I’m looking the pickup mount like the one in the picture http://images.app.goo.gl/7trHuQFPXi6yF5dj6

The plastic mount? I’ve never seen those offered as aftermarket. Someone with a 3-D printer and some time on their hands could whip you something up no doubt.

I see in the Reverb listing the seller included a conversion ring from mini-HB to P90. Perhaps that’s an option? (I think Guitar Fetish sells those).

The pickup covers don’t have any hole on the sides, so is not easy to keep the pickup anchored on the top. You can try to trim a mini humbucker ring but if you have an hollow body guitar, you can’t put some foam or other, under the pickup to keep it up

The foam would just be to follow the arch and raise the height(if need be).
I’m not sure how particular you are but I would take the Mini to P90 adaptor ring and lock the pickup in place with silicone kit or wax.

Yes, the pickup mount of the new zephyr reissue probably will fit. Not easy to find. Is not possible to order directly from Epiphone

Keep in mind it’s a modern reissue, not a 1:1 copy. I’m 99% sure you would still need to adapt the mount for the pickup.

The guitar body is empty and there is a hole on the top, is not easy to put the foam under the pickup. Thanks for your suggestions anyway

There are Mini HB to P90 adaptors with P90 Dogear footprint.
Perhaps not the aesthetic you’re looking for but they may have a bit more meat to cover the hole?
