    Wow nice single cut.

That’s a grote?! Amazing! I had one of their jazz guitars. After a little tweaking it was a really great guitar

Show me your 'Other Cool Guitars

my non Gretsch models are a Guild tbird, a Backlund Rockerbox, and a Supro Holiday Of the three I like the Supro the best. I’ve been playing it more than anything lately. I’m actually selling the Rockerbox if anyone is interested. It’s a really cool guitar and sounds great but the neck is too...

    What's your writing process?

I have a friend in Brazil, Chuck Violence, he’s awesome. Anyway he doesn’t really speak English at all but he always writes his songs and sings in English because it’s easier than Portuguese

    What’s your preferred tuning?

Ha! I used to do a lot of musical theater and it was a great voice for that but for this rocknroll shenanigans i like it a little deeper

    What's your writing process?

I use the notepad on my phone a lot. If throughout the day someone says something that stands out I’ll write it down. Sometimes I can use it as lines in a song later on. my band the Hypno-Techs is all sci-fi based so it’s a little easier to write songs since there’s already parameters they have...

    It’s cooooooold

Feels like -36! That’s just painful. No need to go outside
  8. Lockupyourfatdog

    What’s your preferred tuning?

For my little band I play in D standard. Vocally I’m a tenor so the d standard forces me to sing lower.

Band Wars! A show I’m involved with is now available on Amazon

Band Wars! It’s like Jack ass and impractical jokers but with musicians from all over. I’m in a few episodes and do the voiceovers. It’s a fun show.

    NGD! Unique and awesome

Cool thanks! It’s a lot better than it was. Still not as stable as my Supro or my guitars with bigsbys but close. It was really bad

Go for it! 2420s are great for modding

    NGD! Unique and awesome

It has two modes. Mode one is just for the neck pickup and has its own volume and tone knob. With mode two you can turn on either pickup and the bigger volume and tone knobs control those settings. The white switch is for single coil or humbucker. That being said I usually only use the bridge...

Lipstick on a Pig? Top shelf mods on Bottom Shelf Guitars

I’ve put pro line bigsbys on many electros and streamliners. They don’t fit as a straight swap. You either have to drill and fill-no big deal the holes will be hidden. Or drill out the rivet and swap the hinges. That’s what I usually did. Take it to a metal shop for them to re rivet it. No problem

    For Sale Vox Mystic Edge

Really cool pedal for sale in the US. Use it as a distortion pedal, great for recording, use it as an amp in a box. It has a little tube preamp built in. Meant to mimic the vox ac amps. It does a good job of it. I just have enough vox amps to not need to simulate one. But if you want that sound...

    NGD! Unique and awesome

I’ve had this about a week but didn’t want to tell anyone until I got that vibrato system in check. She stays in tune pretty well now. I think I’ll keep it for a bit. This is a Guild t bird! The switches aren’t as complex as it looks. Sounds great. Looks cool and has can switch from humbucker to...

Any rumors of new 2023 lines, colors?

I’d just like for them to bring back the bar bridges on the pro lines, bring back the exceptional customer service and a better warranty

'G' Cutout Tail Piece on a PE G6128 Jet, Anyone done it?

I haven’t done that switch in that model but typically a b7 leaves big hole from where it anchors to the body that a b6 or b3 won’t cover up

    Your Last (Acquisition) pedal(s)

That’s a farmer footdrum. Basic drum kit at your feet. It can come apart and be played as a bop kit too. There’s some really good videos on YouTube with them.

Does the Allparts Gretsch Style bar bridge work well on Electromatics?

Yep works great. I use the allparts bar bridge all the time. I know a lot of people that take the pins out and turn it into a floating bridge for better intonation but I’ve put this bridge on 4 electromatics now without removing the pins and the intonation has been spot on. Maybe I’ve just been...
